Jack Smith

He was the son of Evelyn M Silvia and step father William H Chandler. He was a devoted husband to Beatrice Smith and loving father to Veronica Nobles and Traci Smith.  

Jack was an All Star basketball player and ran track for Rockland High School. He was an outstanding athlete and fierce competitor. After high school Jack served proudly in the United States Army as a Private First Class MP (Military Police). Jack used the GI Bill to pay for college and he graduated from Westfield State College with a degree in Education. Jack also earned his Master’s Degree from Nova University. He spent his entire career as an elementary school teacher leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.  

Jack played all types of sports and games – golf, ping pong, cribbage, scrabble and all types of card games. He loved the Red Sox, The Patriots, The Celtics and the Bruins. He also loved to yard sale – always in pursuit of the next treasure. Jack was a devout Christian. We find comfort knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons and wisdom he taught us and the wonderful memories he left us with.
