

Jimmy was raised and educated in Allston. He played little league in his younger years and went to school at Saint Anthony’s Catholic School and Brighton High School. He was a proud member of the pipefitters Local 537 in Boston for over 50 years. Jimmy raised his family in Quincy for many years before moving to Hingham. He was an avid Harley Rider and was a previous member of the Red Emerald Riding Group of Brighton, MA. He attended “Bike Week” in Laconia for over 50 years. He also attended many other bike weeks across the country. Jimmy was a member of the Elks Lodge and Eagles in Weymouth. He was also a member of the Riffle Club in Braintree. He loved summering in the White Mountains and the Lake Regions, NH with his family and cherished the many vacations with his wife, Mary; his favorite being Hawaii.
Jimmy was the beloved husband of 47 years to Mary (Eisenhart) Hanlon. Loving father of Michelle Kraemer and her husband Keith of Pembroke, Jennifer Hanlon and her fiancé Ron Gamel of Norwell and Phillip Hanlon of Weymouth. Dear brother of Mary Hanlon of Medway, Elizabeth Hanlon of Allston, Michael Hanlon and his wife Joyce of Watertown and the late Joseph and Leo. He was the proud grandfather of Jaclyn, Michael, Riley, Rj, and Madison. Also survived by many life-long friends, whom he loved dearly.
Visiting hours will be held at Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St., Route 53, Hanover on Thursday, September 7th from 4pm to 7pm. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, September 8th at 10am followed by burial in Hingham Cemetery, Hingham.
