James W. Lane

James "Jimmy" W. Lane passed away at the age of 72 on March 11, 2022 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, MA. Born in Brockton, MA, he is the son of the late Marshall Lane & Patricia (Higgison) Bates, stepson of Parker Bates. After the death of his parents he was lovingly cared for by the late Elena Cimorelli and her family.

Jimmy is survived by Peter Cimorelli Sr. of Plymouth, Danny Cimorelli and Marie Bergeron of Norwell, Leigh and David Byron of Pembroke, Peter and April Cimorelli of Northborough, Joe Cimorelli and Alyssa Morani of Plymouth & Kevin Cimorelli of New Bedford.

Jimmy was special in every aspect of the word. He had a gentle soul and a love for life. In his younger days you could usually find him outside riding his bike or walking around. If he wasn’t outside you could find him in his room playing one of his many records and sometimes dancing. He loved nice shoes and long hair. And if you allowed him to touch your hair he would never forget you. It didn’t take much to make him happy. As long as no one touched his massive toy, keychain or shoe collection they were good. Jimmy will be missed by all.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, March 15th from 5-7pm at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St, Rte 53 in Hanover.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 1pm at the Funeral home. Burial to follow at Central Cemetery, Halifax.
