Janet Carlson

Janet Carlson (Hanretty) of Marshfield, MA passed away peacefully on February 13, 2019 at the age of 93 after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Janet lived most of her life in New Jersey and moved to Village at Proprietors Green, Marshfield, MA to be closer to family five years ago. She was the daughter of Agnes and Owen Hanretty, sister of the late Joan Hanretty and the late Lucylle Hanretty.

Janet was the beloved wife of the late Einar Carlson for 60 years. She is the loving mother of Joan Carlson of Yonkers, NY, Robert Carlson of East Windsor, NJ and Elaine Murray and husband Deacon John Murray of Hanover, MA; and the grandmother to Christopher Murray, Patrick Murray, and his wife Mallory and great-grandmother to their son Jack. Janet is also survived by her sister-in law Inga Collinson, as well as her many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.

A funeral mass will be held at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut Street, Lakehurst, NJ at 10:00 on Friday, February 22. Burial will immediately follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ.
