Janet Greene

Janet was born on January 24th, 1935 (Snow Baby) she was the daughter of the late Dr. Ralph & Ethel Briggs DVM of Hanover and is survived by her sister Gail and her husband Fred Briggs of Pembroke, MA.

Janet was blessed by a wonderful and loving family. Janet is survived by her loving husband/lifetime friend Kenton, with whom she shared 70 years of friendship and 65 years of marriage. She was the beloved mother of Kenton, Jr. and his wife Diane of Georgia, David and his wife Ann of Hanover, MA, Susan and her husband Brian Murphy of Pembroke, MA, and the late Steven and his surviving wife Laura of Western, MA. Cherished grandmother and great-grandmother of Michael and Jennifer of Georgia and their children Ethan and Logan, Matthew and Jessica of Florida and their children Paige and Emery, Heather of Brockton, MA, Jordan Aikins and Brendan of Kingston, MA and their daughter Olivia, Kevin of Natick, MA, David and Courtney of Amsterdam, Amy of Hanover, MA, Austin of Medford, MA, Brendan and Elisabeth, both of Pembroke, MA. She was devoted to many nieces, nephews and many other loving family members and friends.

Janet graduated Sylvester High School (Hanover) in 1952. Member of the National Honor Society and attended Bridgewater State College. 

Janet’s greatest love and ambition was to be the best mother, homemaker, and friend to all, which she accomplished in style and respect! As the family matured, Janet took on helping the elderly and less fortunate in making their lives more comfortable.

Janet was a worrier, not about herself but others!! 

A graveside Committal Services will be conducted at the Hanover Center Cemetery on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11 AM. Masks and social distancing will be required.
