Born on January 6, 1939, Joe was a devoted family man and a longtime member of the community. He took great pride in his work, retiring after 30 years with Stop & Shop Inc., where he formed many lifelong friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues. His work ethic and dedication were unparalleled, and he enjoyed the sense of fulfillment that came with providing for his family.
Joe’s family was his greatest joy. He leaves behind his cherished children, Lori Murphy (Pietro) Caiani, Linda Murphy, David (Deborah, deceased) Murphy and Daniel (Ana Paula) Murphy. He was also a proud grandfather to Jaimine, Joy, Cristian, Angela, Renee, Daniella, and Vanessa, and great granddaughter Navea, all of whom he adored and who will carry his memory with them forever.
Joe will be remembered for his kind heart, his unwavering love for his family, and his sense of humor that brought laughter to those around him. He had a knack for making others feel special and valued, always putting others before himself. His legacy of love and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
