Linda Rose Murphy (née Wilson) passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 75.
Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, to Charles and Margaret (O’Neil) Wilson, Linda grew up in a close-knit family and later raised her own family in Marshfield, creating a warm home filled with love, laughter, and the joyful energy of many nieces and nephews.
Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband James M. Murphy, her cherished daughter Jacki Henderson (Murphy), and her sons Sean Murphy and Patrick Murphy.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons Charles Murphy and Jim Murphy; her sisters Debbie Masone and Gail Federico; her grandchildren Brooke, Lauren, Mark, Kurt, James, Katelin; and her great-grandchildren Natalie, Gabby, Ansley, Miles and Theo.
Linda was truly the life of the party—the kind of person who made every gathering brighter. She had a lifelong love of cabaret, singing, and dancing, and she never missed a chance to get people on their feet and smiling. Friends and family alike say that everyone has a story about Auntie Linda—a moment when her humor, warmth, or spontaneous song brought joy to the room. Her fondness for Betty Boop reflected her playful spirit and love of a good laugh.
