Mrs. Marie E. Stiles, 86 of Rockland died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton. The daughter of the late William and Margaret McDonough, she was born in Boston on April 9, 1922. Mrs. Stiles served in the Coast Guard SPARS during WWII and Korea and was discharged at a Chief Yeoman. She had worked for the Federal Government for over 42 years, retiring as Chief of Fiscal Services at the Veterans Administration in Boston. Mrs. Stiles was a member of the Old Town Post Auxiliary VFW Post 5737 in Abington, Past President of the Lower Mills VFW Post 8699 and Past President of VFW District One. She was the mother of the late William Stiles and is survived by her daughter in law, Theresa Stiles and 2 grandchildren, William Stiles and Annmarie Stiles all of North Easton. Visiting in the Sullivan Funeral Home 45 East Water St in ROCKLAND on Monday from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 MA in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
