Mary A. Ryan

Mary was raised in Milton and was a graduate of St. Gregory’s High School in Dorchester. She then went on to attend Labouré college and received her nursing degree. Mary worked a lengthy career as a registered nurse caring for others. She also worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Mary settled in Hanover to raise her family with her husband Ronald A. Ryan. Mary had a great sense of humor and liked to make others laugh. She enjoyed gardening and watching the Hallmark movie channel. She was a former member of the Hanover Garden Club. Above all, she loved spending time with her family; especially with her grandson Ronnie. Mary was the loving wife of the late Ronald A. Ryan.

Mother of Karen Ryan of Braintree, Kelly Weinberg and her husband Ryan of Revere, Kevin Ryan of Dorchester, and Katelyn Ryan of Hopedale. Sister of Denis Hanlon and his wife Dianne of Braintree, Eleanor Hanlon of Braintree, William Hanlon and his wife Sharon of Las Vegas, the late Timothy Hanlon and his companion Vicky Tran of Milton, and James Hanlon and his wife Emily of Braintree. Grandmother of Ronnie Weinberg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 21st from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Sullivan Funeral Homes in Hanover - 551 Washington St., Rt. 53. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 10 AM at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church in Hanover - 392 Hanover St. Burial will immediately follow at Hanover Center Cemetery.
