Michael J. Marino, 77, of Rockland died Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a brief illness. The Son of the late Paul and Rose Amato Marino, he was born in Boston on August 25, 1926. He was raised and educated in East Boston and lived in Weymouth before moving to Rockland 3 years ago. Mr. Marino was employed as the Deli Supervisor for the former Liberty Markets in East Boston. He served on the USS Amesbury during WWII. He is survived by his wife, Frances C. Gardina Marino, 2 daughters, Paula Hagerty of Abington and Francine Bright of Rockland. He was the brother of James Marino of Arlington and the late Leo Marino. Step brother of Jerry Gardina of FL, Josephine Monti of Revere, Angie Monteforte of Wareham and the late Grace Brennan. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, January 30, 2004 at 9 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139 in Hanover. Internment in Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 4 1-45 East Water Street in Rockland on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
