

Robert Francis Wilson Jr. age 64 of Natick, formerly of Hanover, MA, sadly passed away on January 21st, 2024. He was born in Malden, MA to the late Robert F. Wilson and Ann (Hardiman) Wilson.
Rob was a graduate of Hanover High School in 1977, where he was the Captain of the school's varsity hockey team. After high school, he attended Essex Agricultural and Technical Institute and the Ritter School of Floral Design and Management. He was the proud member of the Hanover Fire Department serving as an Emergency Communications Dispatcher and Firefighter/EMT from 1977-1990. He was a well respected EMT for Boston EMS from 1990-2024. He received numerous commendations including the Medal of Honor when he secured shelter for children separated from their parents on a call with active gunfire in 1994. He was known for his smile and laid back demeanor during any intense emergency calls. His love of playing hockey shifted to devoted fan of his sons' hockey teams and the Boston Bruins, where he spent hours at the Warrior Center watching them practice. He was also known for his talented floral arrangements when he worked at family-owned business, Hanover Florist.
He is survived by his sons Gavin and Cullen Wilson, and their mother, Megan Tuthill, his siblings LuAnn (Wilson) Pennington and Vernon Pennington of Plymouth, Kevin Wilson and Jill (Spooner) Wilson of Abington, Keith Wilson and Melissa (MacDonald) Wilson of Hanson. He is survived by many of his cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces. Rob is also survived by his first wife Karen (Fallon) Scozzari.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2nd at the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington St, Rte 53, Hanover, MA, from 4pm - 7pm. On Saturday, February 3rd at 9am, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Angels (St. Mary's) 392 Hanover St, Rt 139, Hanover, MA. Burial immediately following at Hanover Center Cemetery.
