Rosetta Nancy Ryan

Rosetta Nancy Ryan, 77, of Hanson MA, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2016. Eighth child of James Rice and Mary Morgan Rice, of Markethill, Armagh, Ireland. Beloved wife of Deacon Jerry Ryan for 55 years. Loving mother to her six children: Timothy and his wife, Deb Carroll; Andrew and his wife, Marion Wong; Eileen and her husband, Robert O’Neill; Jennifer and her husband, Derek Churchill; Matthew; Thomas and his wife, Alicia Eakin. Cherished Nana to Jessica, Samantha, Jack, Patrick, John, Maureen, and Kellan. Also survived by her step-granddaughter, Aiden Gilbert, and her sister Kathleen Whaley, along with many nieces and nephews.Nancy was a strong and courageous woman; a faithful, loving, devoted wife and mother. She graduated from nursing school in NY. For many years she worker in Glen Cove hospital and the home health care field. Nancy was a notable equestrian, winning many trophies around the Northeast region. A superb and avid sailor, Nancy sailed throughout New York and New England waters with her husband. Oh, and she wanted it known that she was one great cook! Her family concurs!Nancy had a deep spiritual faith in God, attended St. Joseph the Worker Church in Hanson and enjoyed singing in the Church choirs in the towns of Hanson and Whitman. Prayerful and humble, Nancy supported her husband in his diaconal ministries. Deeply loved and grievously mourned by many, The Lovely Nancy!A Wake Service will be held at the Sullivan Funeral Homes in Hanson on Sunday, August 21, 2016 from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Church, One Maquan Street, Hanson on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00am, followed by burial at Fern Hill Cemetery, High Street, Hanson.
