Ruth Janet Hunt

Ruth Janet (Andrew) Hunt, 92 of Hanover and formerly of Holbrook, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.Loving wife of the late Harry H. Hunt, Sr. Born in Holbrook on April 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Kathleen M. (Ettinger) Andrew. She lived in Holbrook until moving to Hanover in 1974. Ruth was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church, Friends of Hanover Council on Aging, Morning Out Group, and the WANA Group of Church Hill. Ruth is survived by her children, James R. Hunt and his wife Diana of Holbrook, Thomas A. Hunt and his wife Donna of Marshfield, and Harry H. Hunt Jr. of Halifax. She was the sister of the late James M. Andrew, Kenneth H. Andrew, Winifred K. Howes, Robert A. Andrew, and Alice E. LaBelle. Ruth was the loving grandmother to Laura J. Foley, James R. Hunt Jr., Julie A. Fay, Shannon L. Faghan, Carrieann Ryan, Christine Schofield, Harry H. Hunt III, Stephen Hunt, Nicole Hunt, and the late Scott Hunt. The most important thing in Ruth's life was her family and their love for each other. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 24th at 11 AM at Church Hill United Methodist Church, 11 Church Street, Norwell.
