Shirley R. Richardson Pool

Mrs. Shirley R. Pool, 81 of Hanover formerly of Bridgewater, Summerfield FL and Rockland died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at home after a long illness. The daughter of the late Earl and Marion White Richardson, she was born in Weymouth on March 18, 1927. She was raised and educated in Rockland. Mrs. Pool was formerly employed as a Secretary at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She had been a member of Channing Unitarian Church in Rockland, a member of their choir, she worked with the Rockland VNA, she was an avid golfer, she enjoyed bowling and was a sports enthusiast. Wife of the late John S. Pool, she is survived by 1 son J. Stevens Pool of Buzzard Bay, 2 daughters, Marcia J. Clark of Marshfield and Betsey J. Pool of Rockland, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Corrigan of Weymouth and Ruth Cox of Hull, 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Pool, John Clark, Rebeccah Clark and Emily Clark, she is also survived by 1 great grandson, Matthew and her longtime companion, William Sadler of Hanover. Funeral Service in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte 53 in HANOVER on Monday at 10 AM. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Rockland. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-5 PM.
