

Theresa M. (Mello) Wilcox, 88 of Hanover, passed away on November 11, 2015. Born to a large family in Bridgewater on July 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Emmanuel Leon and Theresa (Sylvia) Mello. She remained close with her brothers, sisters, and extended family. Theresa was active in her church community at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart in Hanover, where she taught CCD and faithfully attended mass. She also had a lifelong interest in art. She had a large group of friends, from her childhood in Bridgewater through her many years living in Hanover. They were a source of support and laughter throughout each other's lives. She also had a special gift for caregiving, whether it was taking care of a newborn great-grandchild, teaching her grandchildren how to draw, or helping her adult children in their own homes. Theresa's greatest joys in life were her family, her friends, and her faith. Theresa was the devoted wife of the late Homer G. "Skip" Wilcox. Loving mother of Carol Jeanne Wilcox and her husband Arthur C. Barry of Duxbury, Paul Alan Wilcox and his wife Rosemary O'Neil of Pembroke, and the late Terry Wilcox. Cherished grandmother of Jon Ferry, Keith Wilcox Barry, Justin D. Wilcox, Katelyn E. Wilcox, and the late Jaina Ferry Bain. Theresa is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Burial in Hanover Center Cemetery.
