
Mr. William J. Harrington, 72, of Stoughton died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 in the New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton after a lengthy illness. The son of the late Theodore and Margaret Healy Harrington, he was born in Boston on February 8, 1931. He was raised and educated in Hanson and was a 1949 Graduate of Whitman High School. He lived in Middleboro until moving to Stoughton several years ago. Mr. Harrington was employed by the Mass Port Authority as an Operations Manager at Castle Island until, his retirement in 1987. He was a Member of the Middleboro VFW and had served in the Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with his Family and many friends. He loved to Socialize and was art avid Keno player. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy N. Robbins Harrington, 5 Daughters, Lorinne Geary of St. Petersburg FL, Kathleen Hannon of Stoughton, Joline Davis of Fairfield ME, Darlene Harrington of Middleboro and Christine Zani of Taunton; 3 son in laws, Dennis Zani, David Davis and his close Pal and son in law, Joseph Hannon, brother of Jack Harrington of Carver, Jean Croghan of Hanson, Rose Dunlea of Wollaston, Mary Tucker of Monponsett, the late James Harrington, the late Theodore Harrington, and the late Paul Harrington, 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral mass will be Celebrate on Monday, September 22, 2003 at 12 Noon in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan Street, Rte 14 in Hanson. Internment will be in the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne. Visiting Hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 814 Indian Head Street, at the Corner at Rte 14 & 58 in Hanson on Sunday from 2-6 PM.
