Hilda T Sanchez

Rio Hondo, Texas–Mrs. Hilda Sanchez passed away at her home, Monday, September 16, 2013, after a lengthy fight with cancer. Hilda was born in Lexington, Nebraska on August 6, 1950 to Isidro and Guadalupe Torres. On September 5, 1969, Hilda married Air Force Staff Sergeant Alberto I. Sanchez, who she accompanied on assignments to Hawaii, Texas, Philippine Islands, Washington DC, England, Florida, and Spain. She also visited Austria, Germany, Portugal, and the Netherlands. She was a strong, caring, loving person who always put family first. She lived out her life in the dream home, which she designed, on the banks of the Arroyo Colorado in Rio Hondo, Texas.

Hilda is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Alberto I. Sanchez, their three children, Uvaldina, Albert, and Roger and extended family.

Viewing will be at Funeraria Del Angel on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 5 to 9 pm, with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm. There will be a chapel service at the funeral home on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park, San Benito, Texas.
