Lucile B. Brown

She was born February 19, 1921, in Lincolnton, NC, and was a daughter of the late Virgin and Vannie White Bolin. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on April 19, 2005, by her husband, Vernon Brown. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Warren and Florence Bolin, and grandson-in-law, Eric Speight.

Mrs. Brown is survived by a daughter, Frances Lentz (Don) of Harmony; a son, James Brown (Nydia) of Melborne, Florida; three brothers, Pierce Bolin (Betty) of Statesville, Paul Bolin (Joan) of Mocksville, and Dwight Bolin (Julia) of Statesville; two sisters, Evelyn Draughn (Clarence) of Mocksville and Mary Hollingsworth of Hendersonville; four grandchildren, Pamela Speight (Kenneth Ward) of Harmony, Susan Krebs (Ricky) of Florida, Peggy Hammer (Tad) of Florida, and Randy Brown (Angela Maria) of Georgia; eight great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Speight, Caitlin and Logan Krebs, Trevor and Sarah Hammer, Gabriella and Connor Brown.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Darren Johnson officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour and Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the interment service in the church fellowship hall.
