She was born on April 5, 1923, in Guilford County, and was a daughter of the late Mooney and Eleanor Kidd Gaither and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie L. Cain, Sr. who died in October 2006. Also preceding her in death were brothers, Roy, Henry and W.D. Gaither.
She is survived by her son, Johnie (J.L.) Cain, Jr. and wife Diane of Winston-Salem; a brother, Wilber Gaither; and a sister, Mary Gaither.
Visitation will be held 6:30 to 8:30 tonight (Friday, September 20) at Reavis Funeral Home of Harmony. Burial will be private.
