Abayomi Tolulope Tella (a Crown Prince of Isaga Orile), 48, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA unexpectedly passed on Monday 23rd January 2023 to be with the Lord Jesus Christ at the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA.
Prince Abayomi Tolulope Tella was born to HRM Oba Oladele Olusoji Tella and the Late Olori Marian Olufunmilola Tella on November 28th, 1974, at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria.
Prince Abayomi Tella surrendered his life to Jesus Christ in 1993. He was ordained as a Pastor in 2009 and served as a choir leader between 2000-2016.
In 2010, Pastor Yomi, as he was affectionately known, and his wife Laura co-founded the Succor The Needy Foundation/Balm of Gilead Help The Needy Foundation/ to support the needs of widows and orphans following the bible verse James chapter 1 vs 27: “Pure religion and undefiled before God the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world”. Their organization has positively impacted the lives of thousands of widows and orphans in Nigeria supporting them with cash, clothing, school/learning materials, and food items. They have used this platform to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Yomi was always ready to lend a helping hand, from providing food and services to helping people secure accommodation, jobs, and transportation. He served as a worker, praise and worship leader, and Associate Pastor at the Deeper Life Bible Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He was committed to supporting his community and served the Lord Jesus till his final hours on the earth. Hours before his passing "he asked the church during the Sunday Worship Service to repeat the refrain of one his favorite hymns "No Other Plea":
I need no other argument,
I need no other plea.
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me.
Pastor Yomi was enthusiastic about making a positive change in people by exemplifying practical holiness and selflessness according to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He was a certified DevOps/IT Engineer and held a graduate degree in International Relations.
He is survived by his wife of (16 years) Mrs. Laura M. Tella and four children Alexander Tella (15), Alfred Tella (13), Albert Tella (10), and Alicia Tella (5). His children remember him as a man of integrity and a loving father who completely submitted himself to the service of Jesus Christ and served as a channel of God’s grace and blessings.
He also leaves to cherish his memory, eight siblings: Hon. Prince, Dr. Tunde Tella, Princess Olufunke Adetunji, Princess Olutosin Adenike Oliseh, Prince Sunday Tella, Princess Olufunmilayo Amusan, Prince Olusola Tella, Prince Taiwo Tella, Prince Idowu Tella.
He was predeceased by Olori Marian Olufunmilola Tella (mother) and Princess Abiodun Titilope Falaiye (sister).
A funeral service will be held at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111 on Saturday the 4th of February 2023 at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow immediately after the funeral service at the Paxtang Cemetery, 490 N Paxtang Ave, Harrisburg, PA 17111.
