carmela Grace Burnette, 88, of Susquehanna Twp, passed away December 31, 2014, in her home. She was the wife of William Burnette, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Carmelo and Jenny Mallamaci. Carmela was a commercial artist, having a studio in New York City and some of her art was displayed in the Harrisburg Museum. She also made clothes for children in Iraq and Afghanistan and contributed items to the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey. Carmela's survivors include her son James and wife, Joyce, of Colorado; her granddaughter, Carolyn, of Colorado Spring and husband, Nick, and son Nali; a grandson, Tim, of Fort Collins, Colorado; grandson, Stephen and wife Johni, of Duncannon, with daughers Maura and Eden, and son Quinn. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at 11:00 am, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, with a visitation at 10:00 am, until the time of service. Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
