Catherine J. Barra

Waltham, Massachusetts, the daughter of Carmela (Nesci) Sweigart and the late Lee H. Sweigart of Middletown. Catherine graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School. She was an executive secretary for the

Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board retiring in 2011. Catherine was a friendly, outgoing person who loved being with people and most of all her family.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James R. Barra; her son,

Joseph L. Barra and his wife, Sara of Tremont, and grandchildren,

Lillian, James, and Julia; daughters, Carmela M.B. Levarto and her

husband, Todd, of New Cumberland, and Cathryn R. Barra of Sinking

Spring. In addition to her mother, Catherine is survived by her 2

sisters and 4 brothers, many nieces and nephews and extended family

members for whom she cared deeply.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 4, 2013 in St. Matthews Catholic Church,607 Stoney Creek Drive,Dauphin. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, dauphin PA. Viewing will be held 10:00 AM Monday until time of the service at the church.
