

He was a retired employee of Harrisburg Hospital and was a US Navy veteran of WWII serving on PT boats in the European and Pacific Theaters, receiving the European Theater, Pacific Theater, American Theater, and Philippine Liberation Ribbons as well as the WWII Victory Medal. David continued his service to the country and the US Navy in the Naval Reserves through the Korean War to the mid 1950s receiving additional awards and commendations.
David is survived by 7 sons, 5 daughters, 28 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and was preceded in death by a son, 4 brothers and 8 sisters.
Funeral Services will be held 12:30 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2011, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg. A viewing will be held from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Ft Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
