He was born August 18, 1957 in Harrisburg, son of the late Hugh J. and Mary Edith (Whitmer) McCord II.
He is survived by his wife, Dana A. (Yealy) McCord; 2 sons, Hugh J. “Jamie” McCord IV and Matthew McCord, both of Dillsburg; 2 grandsons; sister, Rustine McCord, of Tenn; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Russell S. Bush and Ralph W. McCord.
He was an avid hunter. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be sadly missed by his family.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM noon Thursday, November 18, 2010 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
A viewing will be held 10:00 AM to time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
