Of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, June 20, 2025.
He was the son of the late James S. Kern, SR. and Betty (Shearer) Kern. Jimmy faced life with strength despite living with intellectual disabilities. In his younger years, he worked as a concrete finisher with several companies.
He was preceded in death by his father, James S. Kern, SR. He is survived by his loving mother, Betty Kern; his sister, Joni (Wayne) Miller; brother, Craig (Sandy) Kern; and sister, Lynn Kern. He is also survived by his son Jayson (Michelle) Kern; one granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
