Janet E. Bowman , 83, of Harrisburg , passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013, in Colonial Care Park Center. Born February 26,1930 she was the daughter of the late M.B Miller and Pearl E. (Leib) Bowers.
Janet was past president of the ladies auxillary Harrisburg Elks and volunteered her time at Harrisburg Hospital. She also loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank E. Bowman and brother James and her feline friend aka Joe Bowman.
Surviving are her daughter Jill and husband Jim Hildum of Harrisburg, three brothers Charles and R.B. Miller both of Harrisburg and George Miller of Middletown, and her grandson Trevor of Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2013, at 11:30am in the Neill Funeral Home Harrisburg. Viewing will be from 10:30 to time of service.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
