John H. Ganoe

He was born July 30, 1938, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late John E. and Marcella M.(Yingling) Ganoe Jr.

He graduated from Lewistown High School, class of 1956 and worked for the PA. Dept of Highways 1956 to 1959. Went to Shippensburg College and graduated class of June 1963.

He was a retired school teacher from the Central Dauphin School District for 30 years, where he taught at Swatara Junior High School, he owned and operated a Hot Dog Cart and owned and operated the Village Book Shop in Kline Village.

Surviving is his wife, Susan Taylor Ganoe; son, John D. Ganoe, wife, Sandy, of Carlisle; brother, Stephan K. Ganoe, of Harrisburg; 2 granddaughters, Crystal Lindstrom, husband, Jason, of New Port News, VA, and Sara Margaret Ganoe, of Carlisle; and a caregiver to Richard Brymesser.

Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, May, 3, 2011 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to time of Service, Tuesday at the funeral home.
