Margaret H. Matthews

She was born July 24, 1923, in Lemoyne, PA; she was the daughter of the late Roy and Iva Rudy Anderson; and preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Anderson; 2 sisters, Katharyne Myers and Evelyn Gesford; and her son-in-law, Barry Ziegler.

She was retired employee Weis Markets and Agway Branch Office in Harrisburg.

She was a member of the Derry Street United Methodist Church, its former Herbert Bair's Sunday School Class, the Senior Citizens Group, and the Lunch Bunch.

She is survived by a son, J. Richard Matthews (Margaret), of Hummelstown; three daughters, Glenda Franklin (Marshall), of Hummelstown, Shelby Ziegler, of Birdsboro and Nancy Plank (Edward), of Harrisburg; 2 grandsons, Douglas Ziegler (Alison) and Erik Plank; 2 granddaughters, Rachael Matthews and Erin Lagermasini (Robert); 3great grandchildren, Brooke and Quinn Ziegler and Anthony Lagermasini; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
