Marian Rolles, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, at the age of 94.
Marian was a mother not only to her own children but to many beyond her immediate family. She had a natural ability to nurture, listen and show up for people when they needed her most. Her home and her heart were always open, and countless lives were touched by her steady presence.
She is survived by her children James Monos (Mary Ellen), Elaine Loukas (Spyros) and Yvonne Lessard. She is also survived by her grandchildren James, Todd, Demetria, Zachary, Alexandra (Dimitri) A. J. and Alexa. Great grandchildren include Grace, Carter, Walter, Eleni and Emmanuel.
Marian was the daughter of the late Nick and Evelyn (Satlas) Touloumes. She was devoted wife preceded in death by her first husband James Monos as well as her second husband George Rolles.
Jim and Marian Monos were successful owners of the Toll Gate Tavern in Shippensburg, Pa. for over thirty years.
Marian was a lifetime member of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral and the St. Catherine Philoptochos Society.
Funeral service will be held at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1000 Yverdon Dr. Camp Hill, Pennsylvania on Friday, January 30th. Visitation will be at 10:30am followed by the funeral service at 11:30am. Burial will be in East Harrisburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
