

Patricia Helen (Berner) Richmond, of Hummelstown, passed away on November 14 following an extended illness. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and courage by her loving family and friends.
Born on January 26, 1937, Pat was the daughter of Helen Jesse Johns (Toronto, Canada) and Julius G. Berner (Esslingen, Germany). She grew up in Linthicum and Dundalk, Maryland, and attended Baltimore Business College. Following graduation, she worked for the Maryland Budget Bureau and Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.
In 1957 she married Lee Marshall Linton of Boston and had two sons, Edward and Michael. She later returned to Baltimore and married William Richmond, of Marion, Virginia. The couple had two children, Jennifer and Charles. The family relocated to Hummelstown area. Pat went to work for Rollins, Burdick, Hunter (later Aon Corp.) where she enjoyed the many friendships she formed with her co-workers.
Pat was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hummelstown where she volunteered her time. She inherited a love of art from her parents and was a longtime member of the Paxtang Art Association and Hershey Area Art Association. Pat was a talented portrait painter and passed her love of art to her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William. She was the beloved mother to Edward and Robin Linton, Michael and Patty Linton, Jennifer and George Sgagias, and Charles and Kristy Richmond; ten grandchildren, Donovan Stuprich, Angela and Allison Linton, Spiro, Anastasia, Maximos, and William Sgagias, and Jackson, Andrew and Sarah Richmond; a great granddaughter, Fiona Stuprich; her sister, Sandy Lord, of Maryland; and her brother, David Berner, of Laguna Hills, California.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 100 W. Main St, Hummelstown. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM Saturday until the time of the service at the church.
