Roger A. Sweger, 67, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Arletta Sweger, and his brother, Ron Sweger. Roger proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War; he graduated from John Harris High School, class of 1965; and retired in the Banking Industry with 40 years of service. Roger loved the Baltimore Orioles, Penn State Football and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. Roger is survived by his son, Scott A. Sweger; his grandchildren, Brenden and Erin Sweger; his brother, Reginald Sweger, all of Harrisburg; and his sister, Kay Grunmeier, of Campbelltown. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM Noon Monday, October 6, 2014 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
