Shawn T. Lauver, 37, of Bolivia, NC, suddenly died Sunday, July 14, 2024. He was born on September 15, 1986, in Harrisburg, PA. He grew up in Linglestown, PA, and was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School in 2005. Proceeding graduation he joined The United States Army.
Shawn was in the military for 20 years. He was stationed at The Fort Indiantown Gap in Annville, PA. He proudly served his country in Iraq and Afghanistan as an Aviation Maintenance Technician. His specialty was Black Hawk and Apache helicopters. He has been awarded the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and many more. He was proud to be a soldier.
If anyone truly lived life to the fullest, it was him. Shawn’s heart lived for hunting, fishing, motorcycle rides, and his dog. His natural appreciation for the outdoors was what made him so special. Introduced to wildlife at a very young age by his Grandfather and Uncle, he developed a passion so deep it was to be envied.
He is survived by his parents, Brad & Eveanne Lauver; sisters, April Lauver and Amanda Hodge; Brothers-in-law, 2 nephews, 8 nieces, Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.
The family will be holding a service for Shawn T. Lauver at Neill Funeral Home, located at 3501 Derry St. Paxtang, PA 17111, at 10 a.m, Saturday, August 10, 2024. Wake to follow service at Arooga's 22, located at 7025 Allentown Blvd. Harrisburg, PA 17112, at 11 a.m. His life will be celebrated and honored. The family asks for all those who knew, loved, and felt close to him to attend. A beautiful soul deserves a beautiful remembrance. In honor of his favorite team, The Dallas Cowboys, please show your spirit for him and wear any combination of royal blue, white, grey and black.
