Sheila Fitzpatrick… We are devastated by the death of Sheila, 63. Sheila was mentally challenged, but it never stopped her from doing what she wanted. Although she had her own difficulties, she spent her time volunteering to help others. She was nominated and chosen as one of former President Bush’s 1000 POINTS OF LIGHT. She was invited to Washington, D.C., where she met and shook hands with President Bush. Sheila lived with an amazing and wonderful caregiver, Donna Barnes, of Middletown, for the past 11 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; Catherine Kelly Fitzpatrick and William Fitzpatrick. She is survived by her sister, Maura Fitzpatrick, a niece, Molly Fitzpatrick, a nephew, Connor Fitzpatrick, and a grand niece, McKenna Fitzpatrick. Sheila was the sweetest, kindest, most generous and fun person. It is so hard to imagine a world without her in it.
Mass will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am, until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Association, CATRA, where she learned to ride horses and volunteered for 30 years. Horses were the love of her life. She loved CATRA and they were very good to her. https://gofund.me/e87e1193
