To Bart's family, 
I learned just this evening of Bart's passing.  Elly Acri, one of our classmates from John Harris High School, sent me an email.  
What a loss!  The world will be a poorer place without his presence.  You have my deepest sympathy.  
Permit me to reminisce just a bit.  Bart and I were playmates and schoolmates at elementary school in Paxtang.  He had a great sense of humor.  He kept the class in constant laughter.  Even the teacher, Miss Klem, couldn't keep a straight face when she was trying desperately to maintain order.  
Another of my memories was of making my first partially successful ride on a full-size bicycle in the Gephart backyard in Paxtang.  I say, “partially,” because the bike was too big and I was too small.  The only way I could get off was to fall off.  
Later in life in the 1980's, we ran into each other at the Radisson Penn Harris at a celebration of the ministry of Morton Glise.  I congratulated Bart on having earned a great reputation as a criminal defense lawyer.  (I learned that fact from his mother who was at Homeland at the time.)  He responded. “I guess I have a lot of sympathy for people who get themselves into trouble.”  
I hope that when I pass into the next life I will find Bart entertaining all the saints and making eternal life a very lively experience.

Mr. Gephart was a wonderful man who was loved by many.  My deepest sympathies to the Gephart family.

As a young lawyer I could not have asked for a better senior partner. His warmth and upbeat personality were always a welcome sight. He will be sorely missed by anyone whose life he had touched. Our prayers go out to Marilyn and the family.

Bart was a fine lawyer with a great sense of humor and a sharp wit.  He served the Dauphin County Bar Association well and long.  Condolences to his family, who were blessed that he was with us so long.

Bart was a great lawyer and a true friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. May fond memories cover your hearts and give you peace. We will always cherish his friendly smile and sense of humor. Sorry we can not be there to comfort you all this week.

Our condolences to the Gephart family. Bart served on our Board of Directors for over ten years. We greatly valued his wisdom and insight and tremendous sense of humor. He will be missed.
