I am so sorry to hear about Steve's passing. I have such fond memories from years ago with sports at Brightbill and Linglestown.  

I am in disbelief of Stevens passing as everyone else is.  I met Steven when I was employed with IBM.  Steven was a wonderful person with a great disposition, infectious smile and an unforgettable laugh. Cindy and I would like to offer our condolences to the entire Veronikis  family.  RIP in peace my dear friend.

I am a friend and work colleague of Rachelle's. I didn't know Steve all that well, but if he is anything at all like his sister, I have no doubt he was one heck of a great guy. I also lost a brother unexpectedly several years ago.  I know and understand the heartbreak you are all feeling. My heart sincerely goes out to each and every one of you. Know that in time while you never get over the loss, your heart will come to realize the wonderful memories that you've shared together will always be a part of you. Leaning on each other as a family, reminding yourselves of the fond memories you've shared, and the kindness of friends is what will help you get through. 


Such a loss.  I was really looking forward to at least "17" more years of enjoyment together.  Recent concerts brought back great memories of the early years at East High and beyond, when we had to camp out for tickets!  The artist known as Steve helped me paint outside the lines in life.  His humor was a gift, but there was always the serious as well.  I appreciated his take on whatever topic was on the table, and we had some very meaningful conversations throughout the various seasons of life.  Though our friendship was offline for some gap years, I'm so grateful he would reach out and I wish I had initiated more or said "yes" more often to being his passenger, chauffeur, or accomplice on many more adventures.  I'm thankful for those we had, and grateful for his interest in others and getting people together.  Peace be with You, Steve - and much Love to his great family and large circle of friends whom I know share the same sense of loss.  Always.  See you at the BIG show.


Diane and Denny,  I am so sorry for your lost.  I am sure he is at peace now.  You will always have him in your heart.  My condolences and prayers are with you and your family. Please accept my sympathy. I can not imagine your feelings at this most terrible time .    It was a privilege to have Steve in my Art Class at SHHS .   He was memorable because he was not only a talented art student, but he was also,  among the finest and most personable young men that I had the privilege of knowing and teaching.   Steve was mature beyond his years,  he had a wonderful sense of humor and a dedicated work ethic that he displayed in his assignments and his daily interactions with others .   * A regret that I shall always have , is that for a number of years , Steve and I were supposed to meet for dinner so that we could talk, and I could meet his wife;  unfortunately, we did not. "If you care about someone, make the time to see them!"

To my wonderful, handsome, big teddy bear of a brother, 
You were my big brother that I always looked up to. My protector that wanted to kick any guy's ass that hurt me. You were the trail blazer that experienced everything first: the good, the bad, and the crazy. You were always so much fun and we used to have the best talks. Sometimes I felt like I could just talk to you forever. You loved your friends and family so deeply. I just can't believe you're gone. You were such a big personality and we were all so close. I just don't know how I can live without you. It hurts so much it's like a physical pain. A hole in my heart that will never be filled. I miss you so much already. I have to believe I'll see you again. I'll always love you. Forever and ever my big brother.

I did not know Steve directly - I am friends with his sister, Rachelle. I know how much her family means to her, and my heart goes out to your family during this difficult time.  Your family is in my thoughts and prayers, truly.

To the best big brother anyone could ever ask for. I am still having a hard time accepting this, but I know you are at peace and that I will see you again one day. We will pick up from where we left off, complaining about the Birds, Phillies, and Sixers. You taught me so much that I will always carry with me. Karen, Kate, Steve I am unimaginably sorry for your loss. When your father leaves the earth, it changes you forever. I don’t want to give you platitudes, but I sincerely believe that he is still with you. I feel my dad with me all the time. Love never leaves. Karen I’m crushed for you.  Rachelle and Eric, I’ve been where you are too. Losing a sibling feels like losing a limb. You share so many memories growing up together. Steve was such a fun guy, such a family man.  Truly, only the good die young. Sending you all so much love.

I write this with a heavy heart and truly don’t understand when our loved ones are taken from us prematurely but I do know that I’m glad to have countless memories of enjoying life with Steve. We saw one another way to infrequently as we got older but Steve was one of those people that it didn’t seem to matter how much time passed our friendship picked up right where we left it. From when I first met a fit young man named Steve at the Eric Theater to hanging out at Watson week, attending tons of concerts like U2 or Jimmy Buffet to recent years when we would discuss how getting older isn’t for the weak Steve was always true friend who always made me laugh.  Not only did Steve have a larger then life personality but he was an extremely hard worker. I was always impressed at his efforts to graduate college and even more impressed with what he achieved after graduation.  Steve was definitely a family man. He introduced me to Karen, his parents, Rachelle, Eric and it was always obvious how important family was. Even more so after the births of Kate and Steve.  My condolences go out to the entire Veronikis family as well as Steve’s friends.  Love you brother.  You will be missed.

I can't wrap my head around this. I just can't believe that Steve passed. Such a fun guy... always made me laugh... but it was deeper than that. My love goes out to the family.
