Theodore W. Ted Harrer, 71, of Harrisburg, went to be with his Lord and reunited with his wife, Paula L. Harrer, Thursday, August 4, 2022. Surviving is a son, Todd Harrer (Ashley) and daughter, Jill Lerew (John); and grandchildren, Brandon Harrer, John (Jett) Lerew III, and Jade Louise Lerew. Ted was the owner and operator of Perry Eye Center; after closing in 2017, he continued to work for Vision Works, Mechanicsburg. Ted was passionate about his profession and loved interacting with his patients and co-workers. Ted loved life and always kept very active. He never slowed down and loved to keep busy. His family and friends meant the world to him; seeing them was something he loved to do. He also enjoyed tending to his plants and flowers. He always dressed sharply and loved to shop. A Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 11, 2022, in Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A visitation will be from 6:00 PM, Thursday, until the time of the service at funeral home.
