Anna Cathrine Dodson Willard

Anna Cathrine “Cathy” Willard, 79, of Timberville, passed away quietly on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Avante at Harrisonburg. She was born on June 10, 1935 in Herndon and was the youngest daughter of the late Henry W. and Arrie J. Dodson.

Cathy is survived by three daughters, Jean D. Doyle of Geneva, Florida, Debbie W. MacGregor of Manhattan, Kansas, and Heather W. Higgins of Checotah, Oklahoma and nine grandchildren. She is preceded in death by brothers, Elvin M. Dodson, Loring F. Dodson, John M. Dodson, Cecil W. Dodson, Cletus E. Dodson and sisters, Bertha M. Faulkner and Elizabeth P. Whetzel.

Family and friends remember Cathy for her love of bingo, birds, flowers, and country music. In addition, cross-stitching kept her busy and countless projects decorate the homes of her friends and family. Cathy spent many years working as a waitress at Manuel’s and Wife Restaurant in Winchester and Southern Kitchen in New Market.
