Catherine Marie Geiser

She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on February 20, 1928 and was the daughter of the late J. C. and Catherine Murray Nieman.

Catherine moved from New Jersey to Harrisonburg area where she has lived for 22 years. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the Broadway-Timberville Senior Center.

On November 21, 1945 she married Frederick Geiser, who preceded her in death on November 2, 1992.

She is survived by a daughter, Catherine Ladner and husband, Gregory, Sr., of Harrisonburg; two grandchildren, Denise Ladner and husband, Carlos, of Linville, Gregory Ladner Jr. and wife, Angie, of Harrisonburg; four great-grandchildren, Chloe Melton, Tristan, Bella and Miley Arenas; and a sister Peggy Harris of New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Vincent and Richard Nieman, Mary Lieggi, and Nancy Dominico.

The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 12 Noon on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Silvio Kaberia officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
