Charlie Lee (Ellis) Wright

Charlie Lee Wright, 89, of Harrisonburg, died Monday, May 7, 2018 at Oak Lea Nursing Home on the campus of Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community. A daughter of the late Paul Bryan and Minnie Anthony Goyer Ellis, she was born on September 15, 1928 in Choctaw, OK. She was a member of the Citizen of the Potawatomi Nation in Shawnee, OK. Charlie loved dogs and babies, enjoyed music, singing and playing the piano; she became an accomplished genealogist. On November 1, 1946 she married Ernest Bryan Wright who died on March 5, 2018. Surviving are four daughters, Janet Lee Wright of Fulks Run, VA, Martha Irene Wright of Dallas TX, Emily Ann Wright of Dumfries, VA and Amy Kathryn Wright of Woodbridge, VA; three grandchildren, Sam Bynum of Woodbridge, VA, Mary Rose Ocampo of Lewisville, TX, and April Heather Hamilton of McKinney, TX; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris Erlene Ellis of Del City, OK. Following her request, she will be cremated and all services will be private.
