

He was born in the City of Yungay, Huaraz, Perú. In 1954, Ciro Julio met Teresa Marina in Lima, Perú. Married her in 1964, for over 58 years. Ciro and Teresa went on to have three children, Judy O'Brien, Hugo Mejia, and William Piero Mejia.
He attended the military school of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in Lima, Perú; he was an accountant and youth soccer coach. He loved playing the trumpet and the harmonica and loved swimming. Besides the unconditional love for his family, his other passion was world soccer, and he exercised the role of coach, trainer, and mentor to several kids throughout his life. A beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ciro became a mentor to his sons, nephews, grandchildren, and many others. One of his dreams was to attend a World Cup soccer match, which he did for the first time with his brother Julio in 1994 in the US.
Ciro Julio was predeceased by Pastor Mejía, Emilia Ulloa de Mejia, Pastor Mejia Jr, Julio Meja, and Pablo Mejia Sifuentes. He was survived by Judy O’Brien (Howard O’Brien), Hugo Mejía (Betty Mejía), and William Piero Mejia (p. Angelina Mcintire). Grandfather of Diego André Ruiz (Amanda Pomeroy-Ruiz), Renzo Paolo Ruiz, and Michael Matthew Mejía. Great Grandfather of Liviana Ruiz.
Funeral Mass Services will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia, at 2 pm, December 21, 2022.
