Connie Faye Guyer Knowles, 74, a lifelong resident of Harrisonburg passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Sentara-RMH Medical Center. She was born on January 22, 1943 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of the late Marion and Dorothy Deviers Guyer.

Connie was a member of Ridgeway Mennonite Church; she enjoyed watching Golden Girls, crocheting, babysitting her nieces and nephews and loved Elvis. On September 29, 2000 she married Richard Knowles, who survives. She is also survived by two brothers, Ed Guyer and wife, Mary, of Mt. Crawford, Wayne Guyer of Dayton; two sisters, Linda Thomas and husband, Charles, of Shenandoah, Nancy Connellee and husband, Mike, of Grottoes; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Ruth Knowles of Harrisonburg; two sisters-in-law, Regina Darcus and husband, Ronnie, of Dayton, Robin-Sue Matthews and husband, Marc, of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Jim Harrison officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
