

He was born in Marikina Rizal, Philippines on February 12, 1939 and was the son of the late Emeterio and Segunda Senga Santos.
Dr. Santos graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. He received his surgical training and was named Chief resident under the renowned Dr. John L. Madden. Dr. Santos practiced for over forty years in Harrisonburg, VA and Farmington, MO as a general and vascular surgeon. He came to Harrisonburg, VA in 1979 from New York. He then moved to Farmington, MO, in 1989 where he lived and became an integral part of that community for 20 years. Shortly after his retirement, he returned to family in Harrisonburg in 2009. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Kiwanis Club and Knights of Columbus in Missouri.
On June 19, 1965 he married Mamerta Lacson Santos, who survives.
He is also survived by sons, Roland Santos of Harrisonburg, Gerard Santos of Richmond, Patrick Santos of Dover, NH; a daughter, Michele Santos Harper of Delray Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Patrick, Scout, Quinn, Reed, Julianna, and Griffin Santos; his sisters, Maria De Guzman, Perpetua Tubio, and Epifania Santos; his brother, Lamberto Santos; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin Santos.
The family will receive friends 9:30-11:00 am, Monday, August 8, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am, with Father Silvio Kaberia officiating. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery.
