Donald Eugene Kidd

He was born on September 17, 1942, in Welch, WV and was the son of the late Giles N. Kidd, Jr. and Margaret R. (Stafford) Kidd.

He attended Bluefield College and obtained an associate degree.

Donald proudly served his country in the US Air Force from September 22, 1959, until September 20, 1963. He later was a Trooper with the Virginia State Police, store manager of Fisher Auto Parts and Statewide Frozen Beverage Distribution.

He was a member of the West Side Baptist Church where he was a deacon, served on the church council and many other groups within the church. He was a life member and Past Exalted Ruler of the B.P.O.E. #450.

On September 21, 1991, he married the former Diana Jones, who survives.

He is also survived by a son, Donald Kidd, Jr. (Martha); two daughters, Dawn Kidd Keim (Anthony) and Katie Kidd Johnson; four grandchildren, Kate and Sadie Keim, Kali and Lucy Johnson; brothers, William “Bill” Stafford Kidd (Sue), Lee Kidd (Vonda) and Kenneth Alan Kidd (Thomas Keane).

In addition to his parents, a brother, John Douglas Kidd preceded him in death.

Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the B.P.O.E. #450 (Elks Lodge) in Harrisonburg.
