

She was born in Rockingham County on September 11, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Guy W. and Freda Myers Long.
Eleanor lived her entire life in the Harrisonburg area and was a graduate of Mt. Clinton High School and Dunsmore Business College. She also assisted her husband who was owner of The Coin Shop. She was a lifelong member of Cooks Creek Presbyterian Church.
On May 1, 1948 she married, George Edward Miller, who preceded her in death on October 15, 1993.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Rimel of Elkton; a son, Darryl Miller and wife, Jan, of Harrisonburg; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Curtis Lee Long of Mt. Clinton.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Shenandoah Hall at Oak Lea Nursing Home for the loving care they gave to their mother.
A Memorial service will be held 11:00 am, on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Private Burial will be held at Woodbine Cemetery.
