A daughter of the late William Rabe and Alice Hartis, she was born on April 28, 1952 in Lexington, VA. She earned her Master’s Degree from James Madison University and was a special education teacher for the State of Virginia. Jeanne was a member of Mt. Olivet Christian Church, Shenandoah Choral Society and AA.
She is survived by her son, John Tysinger of Harrisonburg; grandson, Lakin Odum; one sister, Amanda Rabe of Staunton; one brother, Geoffrey Rabe of Florida; two nephews, Bryan Wright and Mathew Rabe; and a special friend, George Rion.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanne Marie Tysinger; and her brother, John Rabe.
Her body will be cremated at Lindsey Funeral Home & Crematory.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Wright officiating.
