John Paul Burch

He was born on July 11, 1940 in Mill Creek, WV and was the son of the late James and Iona Currence Kerns.

John moved to Harrisonburg from Elkins, WV, fourteen years ago. He was a farmer.

He is survived by his wife the former, Janet Taylor, and three sons, Jason Taylor Burch and fiancée, Kaitlyn Anderson of Harrisonburg, James Burch of Staunton, and John Burch and wife, Lisa, of Ivy, VA; two daughters, Traci Burch of Staunton, VA, and Paula Johnston of Montrose, WV; and four grandchildren, Chris, Mary, Matthew and Joey Burch.

He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Todd Burch, a brother, Ike Burch, and a special cousin, Sissy Fishel.

The family will receive friends, 2:00-4:00 PM, Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Lindsey Funeral Homes and Crematory in Harrisonburg. Following the visitation Mr. Burch will be cremated.
