Linda Carol Carter Murphy

Linda Carol Carter, 69, of Harrisonburg departed this life on March 17, 2017. She was born on November 10, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Lennis and Hilda Jones Carter. Linda attended First Baptist Church and had worked in the health care service. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Leta Richardson of Waynesboro and Adrian Carter of Richmond; a son, Floyd Trey Richardson and wife, Lisa, of Harrisonburg; grandchildren, Marcus Crawford and Carlos Richardson both of Waynesboro, Lashonda Richardson of Elkton, and Jaxon Snowden of Richmond; two brothers, Daniel L. Carter of Harrisonburg and Gary W. Carter of Staunton; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members. She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. Linda will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
