Dear Sandy, Mitzie just sent me Harris's obituary.  I liked the reference to him as an "avid and talented golfer"--so true.  We played many rounds together at Spotswood and at the matches with other high schools and state tournaments.  Before golf, at a younger age, we would explore the woods for hours over the hill from Ott Street.  Through elementary school and high school we were close friends.  You became the light of his life, Sandy, which shows that he could exercise good judgment.

Dear Sandy, Rosemarie and I are so saddened to learn of Harris"s passing.  We had planned to attend his service, but were waylaid because of Rosemarie being rammed by a hit-and-run driver while stopped waiting in a left hand turn lane earlier in the afternoon.
I will remember Harris (brother John and I always referred to him as Harris, not Harry) while we grew up in the Ott Street hood. and our days in Randolph-Macon, we had some good times!  May he find peace in heaven.

Sandy and Family,
Please accept my condolences for your loss.  Harris and I went through grade school and high school together.  I even attended Randolph Macon College for a brief time with him.   As you may recall we were neighbors for a number of years.  Harris was a good friend both personally as well as business and I will miss him.

The longer I knew Harris the more I appreciated him.

Bill and the Shomo family, Harris was an older brother of Bill's we looked up to as a good example to follow, a very nice guy. Sympathies to all, Billy Flippo
