For 52 years, he was printing press operator, beginning at age 14 in his family business. He retired in 2017 in Newton, Iowa. Ted was a carefree and laid-back man, remembered by many as being unique, authentic, and living his life on his own terms. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, antique cars and trucks, classic rock and jazz. Never being able to stay still too long, he was always busy working on new projects, puzzles, and helping those around him. He believed: There is no death, only a change in worlds. Ted will be missed dearly as a father, brother, friend, and neighbor.
Ted is survived by two daughters, Sarah Reynolds and Dayna Reynolds, and their mother, Marlene; a son, Carl Riedell-Reynolds and his wife Heather; five grandchildren; his sister, Cindy Lentz; two beloved nieces, Robyn and Christy; and many loving extended family and friends.
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 1:00 until 4:00 pm at the VFW Post #7589, 9304 Centreville Road in Manassas, Virginia.
