
On June 17, 2016, “His Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and Faithful servant: thou hast been Faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the Lord.” Matt. 25:21 James L. Ramsey, 86, of Harrogate, TN succumbed to his bout with cancer and went home to be with his Savior. He was a deacon of Gibson Station Missionary Baptist Church and served his community as a Mason of Big Spring Union Lodge. He was born on June 24, 1929 to the late Jimmie and Blanche Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Spurgeon, Ewing, Carl, and Paul Ramsey, and sisters Pauline Montgomery, Eula Grey Surber and Elverta Ramsey, (Infant).
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maude Ramsey of Harrogate, TN

11 great Grandchildren. And a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Gibson Station Missionary Baptist Church in Gibson Station, VA, on Monday, June 20 from 6-8 pm. There will be a Masonic service at 8:00 P.M. with the funeral to follow. Church members will serve as pallbearers and the music will be provided by Gibson Station Singers. Friends and family will gather for a final viewing at the church Tuesday morning at 10:00 A.M. James will be buried in the Shoffner Cemetery in Harrogate, TN.
